Sweatshops Made In L.A Part 1

1. How is the life of sweatshop workers in L.A. the same as those in Indonesia? How is it different?
- The sweatshops workers in L.A are the same as the sweatshop workers in Indonesia because they both work up to 12 hours a day and their treated like their nobody. Their different because in Indoneisa you get payed 1.25 a day and in L.A you get paid 3.25 on sundays. They both get paid different amounts. Their also different because in L.A they make clothing for Forever 21 and in Indoneisa they make shoes for Nike.

2. Why is it that poor immigrants (newcomers) end up working at sweatshops? Why don’t they work as lawyers or doctors or at Mcdonalds?
- they end up working in sweatshops because they don't have papers to work for other things.

3. Predict what’s going to happen by the end of this movie
- I think that by the end of the movie they will continue and try to fit but they don't succed.

Nike Part 1

1. How much do Nike workers make in Indonesia? How many hours a day do they work?
- Nike workers in Indoneisa make $1.25 a day. The work about 12 hours a day and can't even see their children

2. What is life like for Indonesian Nike workers at home?
- Life is terrible. they live in a 8 by 8 box with no window and the have to share that room with 3 other people with a small little window and its like 100 degrees in their. Plus when they use the bathroom, their waste product goes straight to the street.

3. Why won’t Nike talk to Jim or Leslie or let them visit the shoe factory?
- I think that Nike wont let Jim and Leslie because they don't want the to see how the workers are being treated.
